Port of Redwood City to “Make A Splash” at PortFest 2025

The Port of Redwood City is thrilled to announce details of PortFest 2025, our annual waterfront celebration. This year’s theme, “Make A Splash,” invites community members, maritime enthusiasts and local residents to enjoy a day of fun on our waterfront.

 

PortFest 2025: Make a Splash

Saturday, Oct. 4

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

475 Seaport Court, Redwood City

 

PortFest is a longstanding Redwood City tradition, offering a variety of activities for families and community members of all ages along the Bay coastline. Event attendees will have a chance to explore the inner workings of Port operations and maritime heritage while experiencing the vibrancy of the waterfront.

 

“Every year, PortFest gives us an opportunity to elevate our waterfront as a lively, community-driven space,” shared Port of Redwood City Executive Director Kristine Zortman. “It’s an event that connects the city to our maritime heritage and reinforces our value as a regional economic engine.”

 

Attendees can dive into new and crowd favorite returning activities, including:

  • Aquatic activities & water sports

    • Splash zone and bubble zone

    • Free stand-up paddleboard lessons and wing foiling clinic (Redwood Water Sports)

    • Free sailboat rides (Spinnaker Sailing)

    • Catch-a-toy-fish in our splashy pools

  • Tours & educational experiences

    • Port insider tour

    • Marine Science Institute’s Robert G. Brownlee research vessel tour

    • U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary boat tour

  • Entertainment & family fun

    • Free gaming truck and face painting

    • Live music

  • Community & local engagement

    • Pop-up booths from local organizations

    • Local food vendors providing a variety of cuisines
