Lighted Drone Show

Mark your calendar for this year's show - May 4, 2024!

May the force be with you at this year's Star Wars themed drone show on May 4, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

The Port of Redwood City, in collaboration with Open Sky Productions, is hosting its second annual free lighted drone show, featuring 150 drones taking flight and soaring into the air for a spectacular maritime production, illuminating moving images of all things Star Wars. 

Make this your ultimate, family friendly, celebration of Star Wars - we’ve got it all!

 

  • Lightsaber giveaway - Make sure to get there early for a chance to meet your favorite Star Wars characters. The first 200 kids at the event will receive a free lightsaber.

 

  • Lightsaber training (participants get a $1 off coupon for ice cream at Mister Softee!) and photos with your favorite Star Wars characters: Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and a Stormtrooper!

 

  • Free Star Wars themed face painting.

 

  • Cash’d Out band, “the next best thing to Johnny Cash”. Cash’d Out will keep the party vibes rockin’.

 

  • Food trucks, treats, beverages - multiple food trucks onsite for the beginning of the show, including favorite Mister Softee Norcal and beer from Devil’s Canyon Brewing.

 

…and to top it all off, an otherworldly lighted drone show over the Bay featuring Star Wars and maritime themes!​

Schedule of Events:

6:00pm - Lightsaber giveaway and meet and greet with Star Wars characters.

6:00pm - Beverage booth featuring Devil’s Canyon Brewing craft beers and their famous branded root beer, plus varietal local wines.

6:00pm - Food Trucks - Mister Softee, Blue Fin, and more.

6:15pm - Lightsaber Demonstration and Lightsaber training, Star Wars face painting.

6:30 to 8:30pm - Cash’d Out, food trucks, beer and wine.

8:30pm - Drone Show
