Maritime Fun Fact: Oceans, seas and bays make up nearly 97% of Earth’s water.

Spring into warmer weather and outdoor adventures at the Port of Redwood City! We recently opened our newly built public fishing pier which is the perfect destination to cast a line with friends and family.

Port tenants such as Spinnaker Sailing and California Kayak and Canoe offer a variety of opportunities to get out on our waterways. Regardless of the activity, any time spent at the Port is bound to be a splash of fun!

The Port’s maritime workforce, cargo terminals and supportive industrial activities play a key role in the region’s economy. Additionally, the Port's maritime sector provides the revenue stream for the Port to implement many initiatives serving the public. Learn five facts about how maritime serves as an economic engine in the Maritime Commerce section.

In the coming months, there will be several community events hosted on our waterfront. We invite you to join the fun this spring, and maybe even consider hosting your next event at the Port.

Thank you to our community for the continued support. The Port is committed to expanding community resources to benefit the greater San Mateo County and Silicon Valley residents and visitors.
