What is PortFest?

PortFest is a free community celebration and waterfront festival that takes place the first Saturday in October. The annual event welcomes the community to learn about Redwood City’s maritime heritage and the history of our industrial working waterfront.

The family-friendly event also includes live music, children’s recreational activities, food trucks, vendor booths and a day of fun overlooking the San Francisco Bay.

Where is PortFest?

Drive to PortFest:

Take Seaport Boulevard east over Highway 101. Stay in the left lane and turn at Seaport Court. Event parking is free.

Bike to PortFest:

Bikers are encouraged to take a route from the downtown Redwood City Caltrain station. Follow the green path indicated on the map. Please do not bike under the 101 overpass.

Is there handicap access at PortFest?

Many PortFest activities are handicap accessible. Handicap parking is also available at the event. The music stage is on the grassy area and event staff will be on hand to assist event attendees. Some tours and boat rides are not accessible.

The Port of Redwood City offers public access all year long! The Port has more than one mile of waterfront public access, walkways and viewing areas. These include waterfront parks with picnic areas, restrooms, and parking. Fishing is allowed from the public fishing pier. The Port has the only public boat launching facility with access to San Francisco Bay south of Coyote Point.
