Maritime Fun Fact: The average water temperature in San Francisco Bay in winter reaches 51.8°F.

The holidays and the new year are a time for gratitude. I would like to thank our community for your continued support in another pandemic year. Despite the evolving COVID-19 challenges we hosted the Day on the Bay event, secured a commercial fisherman to sell fresh fish to the public and made numerous updates to our waterfront amenities including a new fishing pier.

Our accomplishments are thanks to the vision and leadership of the Board of Port Commissioners as well as the hard work and dedication of our Port team. We would also like to thank the City of Redwood City for their collaboration and partnership.

With strong local, regional and national partnerships, the Port is poised to serve Silicon Valley and the greater San Mateo County region. We are moving into the next year with diligent and strategic planning to keep the Port and our partners thriving. We are proud to be a part of the international system that keeps goods moving, all while supporting our local economy.

From the Port team to your family, we wish you happy holidays and a joyful new year.
