A Message from the Executive Director

Welcome back to your waterfront! Sunny days are here again, and it’s a great time of year for a day trip to the Port of Redwood City. Our Port has continued operating cargo services during the COVID-19 pandemic, but many of our recreational tenants were required to close temporarily due to State public health guidelines. Fortunately, the State has announced that these businesses can now reopen, with strict measures in place to protect public health and safety. Within the Port of Redwood City, several of our recreational businesses are beginning to serve the public once again, taking care to implement social distancing, regular cleaning and disinfecting protocols.

That means you can now rent gear for sailing, canoeing and kayaking – or enjoy an open-air picnic with your family. Please remember to wear a face covering and abide by all public health guidelines, including maintaining a distance of about 6 feet from others when possible. In compliance with public health guidelines, all public bathrooms will remain closed for the time being, so remember to bring hand sanitizer.

We hope to see you soon on the waterfront! From all of us at the Port of Redwood City, we wish you a happy and healthy summer season.
