The Port of Redwood City is gearing up for its annual drone show on Saturday, May 9 – featuring a Rock & Roll spectacular theme. We’re inviting everyone to join us for a thrilling night as more than 400 synchronized drones light up the sky with choreographed splashes of color, featuring formations like guitars, sound waves, high-energy rock and more! Come dressed like a rock star to add to the adventure in the sky.

• Lawn style seating will be available.

• Bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the show in comfort.

• Pets on-leash are welcome.

• Small coolers are permitted on site.
   

EVENT TIMELINE

• 6-8:30 p.m. – Fuel your inner rock star with food trucks, kid activities and a beer garden (21+)  

• 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Live concert by Jumping Jack Flash, a Rolling Stones tribute band

• 8:30 p.m. – Rock & Roll drone show begins

• 9 p.m. – Event concludes

For those of legal age (21+), Devil’s Canyon Brewing Co. will be pouring craft beer, wine and their tasty root beer. While community members enjoy drinks and bites, Jumping Jack Flash will be performing Rolling Stones classics from “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “Gimme Shelter” to “Paint It, Black.”

EVENT ACTIVITIES

For the young rock stars joining us, there are several activities including:

• FREE giveaway: First 200 kids to arrive can claim a branded light up tambourine.

• Glow accessories: Suit up with glow-in-the-dark accessories like bracelets, necklaces, glasses and more.

• Glow bubble show: Watch a glow bubble artist create vibrant pigments of color with tricks and foam effects.

• Strike a pose: Snap a family band photo on a mini concert stage with lights, backdrops and props.

• Rock painting: Use neon and glow-in-the-dark paint to create a glowing rock.

• Giant inflatable slides: Safely race your fellow rockers to the bottom.

• Meet the dancing neon doloresaurus: Watch an LED dinosaur puppet come to life for an electrifying performance.
