A Redwood City Tradition
PortFest is a free community celebration and waterfront festival that takes place the first Saturday in October. The annual event welcomes the community to learn about Redwood City’s maritime heritage and the history of our industrial working waterfront.
The family-friendly event also includes live music, children’s recreational activities, food trucks, vendor booths and a day of fun overlooking the San Francisco Bay.

PortFest is a great venue to connect with the community, and a good opportunity to highlight your handmade products unique to Redwood City. Our guests are most interested in high quality arts and crafts and will always come with an appetite to support unique food and beverage selections.

Booth sites are assigned on a first-come, first served basis. We provide publicity for event vendors. Sign up soon, so we can promote your business.
A Note About Insurance
Food vendors are required to carry $1 million in liability insurance and provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Port of Redwood City and its Board, the City of Redwood City and its Council, the Labadie Productions and their respective boards, officers, agents, and employees.
Food and beverage vendors and interactive vendors are also required to provide an Additional Insured Endorsement which names the Port of Redwood City and its Board, the City of Redwood City and its Council, and Labadie Productions and their respective boards, officers, agents, and employees as additional insured.

This well-attended, all-day, free public festival is held on the waterfront at the Port of Redwood City. Where is PortFest?
PortFest takes place at the Port of Redwood City along the public access waterfront, located on Seaport Court at Seaport Boulevard.
Drive to PortFest:
Take Seaport Boulevard east over Highway 101. Stay in the left lane and turn at Seaport Court. Event parking is free.
Bike to PortFest:
Bikers are encouraged to take a route from the downtown Redwood City Caltrain station. Follow the green path indicated on the map. Please do not bike under the 101 overpass.
When is PortFest?
PortFest is annually held on the first Saturday in October.
Is there handicap access at PortFest?
Many PortFest activities are handicap accessible. Handicap parking is also available at the event. The music stage is on the grassy area and event staff will be on hand to assist event attendees. Some tours and boat rides are not accessible.
Can I bring my dog to PortFest?

Is PortFest free to attend?
PortFest is free to attend, and most activities are free. The harbor tour cost varies. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
Sadly, I cannot attend PortFest. Is there another time I can explore the Port?
The Port of Redwood City offers public access all year long! The Port has more than one mile of waterfront public access, walkways and viewing areas. These include waterfront parks with picnic areas, restrooms, and parking. Fishing is allowed from the public fishing pier. The Port has the only public boat launching facility with access to San Francisco Bay south of Coyote Point. Boats on trailers can be launched in the Redwood City Channel 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Learn more about the Port of Redwood City.
