A Redwood City Tradition
PortFest is a free community celebration and waterfront festival that takes place the first Saturday in October. The annual event welcomes the community to learn about Redwood City’s maritime heritage and the history of our industrial working waterfront.
The family-friendly event also includes live music, children’s recreational activities, food trucks, vendor booths and a day of fun overlooking the San Francisco Bay.

Plan your day at PortFest! Find some fun for everyone during this one-day family festival. From boat rides, to children’s activities, and plenty of music in between, the event will host various interactive and hands-on activities for all ages.

Be sure to go on one of the working waterfront bus tours this year!

This tour takes you behind the scenes at the Port. Participants will go "beyond the fenceline" for a rare inside look at the working waterfront. Learn about local industry and international trade in Redwood City.

Tours will begin every hour, on the hour, at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., Noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. and last for 40 minutes.
Fun and educational for adults and kids.

Vendor
information
PortFest is a great venue to connect with the community, and a good opportunity to highlight your handmade products unique to Redwood City. Our guests are most interested in high quality arts and crafts and will always come with an appetite to support unique food and beverage selections.
If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please complete the vendor application form.
Booth sites are assigned on a first-come first served basis and at the festival producer's discretion. We provide publicity for event vendors. Sign up soon, so we can promote your business.
A Note About Insurance
Food vendors are required to carry $1 million in liability insurance and provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Port of Redwood City and its Board, the City of Redwood City and its Council, Messenger Events and their respective boards, officers, agents, and employees.
Food and beverage vendors and interactive vendors are also required to provide an Additional Insured Endorsement which names the Port of Redwood City and its Board, the City of Redwood City and its Council, and Messenger Events and their respective boards, officers, agents, and employees as additional insured.
