Maritime Fun Fact: One cargo ship can remove 2,500 truck trips from our local roadways!

A message from the Executive Director -The maritime industry plays a key role in the success of the Port of Redwood City. On May 22, we will celebrate National Maritime Day. It’s important to remember that our Port conducts multi-million dollar international trade every day, serving as the only deep-water port in South San Francisco Bay. The economic impact from the Port’s trade activities can be seen daily and is prominent throughout Silicon Valley as you notice new construction along our roadways, business expansions, and other development.

I want to thank our maritime stakeholders and community for steering the Port’s success, and especially to all the maritime workers that keep our Port operating safely and securely. I am honored to work alongside hardworking and dedicated maritime professionals and specialists.
